One Month Down

One month down, 17 more to go! So far this month I've spent dedicated to learning the language and the gospel has been one of the most consistently joyful times in my life. The presence of the spirit is almost that of the temple here at the CCM.

Día de los Muertos was this week and WOW what a cool tradition. I am so in love. Theres so much color and life and joy and the focus on family history is nothing short of inspired by God. Its an example of the Spirit of Elijah in action.

Malachi 4:6 "And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers."

How grateful I am that we have temples, where we can perform ordinances for our deceased ancestors. How grateful I am that I know I will be with my family again, and that I will finally get to meet my grandma one day. How grateful I am to be able to teach this glorious doctrine to anyone who will listen, as a servant called of God.

We had an ofrenda of sorts at the entrance to the comedor, where people could write the name of an ancestor on colorful paper and then put it on the wall. We also got to eat pan de muertos, a traditional bread, and I loved it.

Speaking of food, I tried a lot of various foods (pictured below). Other than that, not much is new! Lots of study, lots of class, lots of learning.

Until next time,
Hermana Ebbert
