Chased By A Pitbull

Image
We got chased by pitbull down 4 blocks this week . . . Not the highlight of my mission experience. Oh well.  We had zone conference! We talked about the Holy Ghost and how essential the gift of the Holy ghost is so essential.  I went on an exchange into Spanish work! Good to be back. We had the best enchiladas and I got to be comps for the day with one of my good friends that I've made on the mission. Super fun day! Not much else is happening. We're trying to find new people to teach so we'll see what we can do.  Until next time, Hermana Ebbert

Another Week, Another Email

Image
Hola hola! This week most of our people told us they didn't want us to teach them, or we told them we couldn't teach them anymore. So lots of people were dropped.  BUT we were biking around one night and we decided to stop by a lady who had been taught before. We knocked on the door and a very shaken and reflective woman opened. She let us in and we sat down. One of the first things she said was "it's weird that you guys came by because I was contemplating whether to live or not." So the spirit really does guide people! God cares about His children and He uses us to help them.  We got 3 or 4 more flat tires this week. Rip My companion is AWESOME. We get along really well and lots of laughing happens.  Remember God loves YOU individually! Until next time,  Hermana Ebbert

Chiwawa Chase

Hello all! Life is good. Transfers are great ;) I am having a blast biking through all of Coolidge and sweating to death in 110° weather. Low-key fun.  My new comp is super awesome! It's her first transfer in the mission but she's already an expert. The work is going great!  RIP the queen. Most of the time missionaries don't get any news (I didn't know about the Russia thing until after the war started) but somehow every missionary I know found out about the queen's death the day it happened. Priorities.  Until next time, Hermana Ebbert I forgot to mention that my comp  Got chased by a chiwawa while furiously biking down the street

Lessons Learned From Sister Melissa McCoy And Sister Leela Bunderson

Image
7/27/22 - 9/6/22 Sister Melissa McCoy -the difference between diligence and obedience -validation means setting aside your view -compassion means setting aside your feelings -how to work hard and have fun at the same time -disappointment can be compatible with trust in God -exact obedience is more of an attitude than anything Sister Leela Bunderson -how to participate even when it's not natural -you're less anxious when you accept someone the way they are -how to relate someone else to yourself - open communication is essential for any relationship -expectations are key -people don't change because you ask them to

Transfers . . . *Sigh*

Oh how time flies. It's been six weeks already and now my companions are leaving me! We were covering two wards but they're splitting the area in two. So I'll cover one half (on bikes) and Sister McCoy will be my housemate and cover the other half. We're both training brand new missionaries.  So basically the best case scenario ;) I've been playing gatorball and enjoying life. All is well. I'm excited for this transfer. I also have deep cleaned almost the whole house by now so I feel good about that. There's so much random stuff in missionary houses. Rip Until next time,  Hermana Ebbert
