Ebbert, Alia

This week we had a couple awesome lessons with Diana, the wife of a returning member. She is SO elect, meaning she's very willing to let the restored teachings of Christ change her life. We hope to help her reach baptism soon, and make her first covenant with her loving Heavenly Father.  We put Angelica on date! After more than a year of being taught by missionaries, and saying to no to baptism for that whole time, she randomly brought it up at the end of a lesson! She told us that she's been thinking about it and that she wants to be baptized! We're very excited.  We had our last interview with our mission president (the man in charge of the missionaries in southwest Arizona). We get a new president in a month, and there's a lot of emotions. Very exciting! Hermana Gasperoni and I are having a BLAST out here in Tempe. Finding, teaching, and baptizing nations out here! This weekend Elder Gong came to our mission! No other missionaries came, just our mission. It wae epic! He talked about how God and Jesus Christ called Joseph Smith by NAME when they appeared to him. He got emotional and the room was filled with the spirit.  Also I just want to testify of the power of the restored priesthood (power of God). It's real and it affects covenant keeping men AND WOMEN every single day. Priesthood blessings are powerful and effective. God really did restore his power to the earth in this day, and we really do have a prophet guiding us, just as in the Bible and Book of Mormon. Hola a todos!  This week was crazy. We were so low on time but had so many important things to do. We had to catch up with our Social Media Specialist (SMS) responsibilities and so spent a lot of time in the office. More than just too many things to do, the mental weight of dealing with so many responsibilities was a lot.  But overall we had a ton of fun! One day we cranked up the AC in the office and drank hot chocolate while sharing the gospel through the dark we- I mean- facebook! We went to the aquarium as an SMS squad today and it was really fun. I just got called to be a part-time Social Media Specialist (SMS)!! Now I spend several hours a day creating and posting content for several spanish facebook pages. Once I do that, I can respond to comments and start gospel conversations with people, and eventually start teaching them! It's super super fun and I am very excited. The SMS Squad, the other companionship in SMS are very supportive and welcoming. It'll be a party! Although, some people call us sacs because we sit at a desk instead of knocking doors, hence the subject line. But believe me, we're working hard! For mother's day, a member took us to culvers (which reminds me of home) on Saturday.  Also it's hot. Sister Gasperoni and I are staying together! We hope we stay together a lot longer. We're gonna become the iconic duo of the mission. We had a mission legend, Sister Willardson, trio with us for a day. It was very enlightening and very miraculous. We sent like 3 referrals to people this week. The work has changed but it's still great! We met real life master oogway. It was incredible. Not much else to say.  Until next time, Hermana Ebbert
