I Rode My Bike In My Longest Dress

Image
This week was fun! We rode our bikes a lot and it's the best. Finally getting use out of that bike that's been in the corner! This week we found 7 people. That makes 20 for the month, and almost all of them are doing super well! We've been teaching people left and right. We contact up and down a particular trailer park and pretty much everyone there knows who we are. The kids all sneak around between the cars and buildings and pretend to get us with their nerf guns and bows, then run off laughing when we spot them. It's a party.  This week I learned again what it feels like when the spirit is telling you to leave an unsafe situation. It's really comforting to know that the spirit can tell me if it's okay to knock a certain door, or walk into an apartment complex or trailer park.  I testify that the book of mormon is the word of God! Through the power that book has, I have accessed the power of the atonement of Christ and changed my very nature. Do something to i...

There's A Subject This Time

This week we found 8 new people and had 35 lessons. That is the highest numbers I've seen on my mission thus far! There are so many progressing people we're working with and it feels so good to watch the gospel change their lives and solve their problems.  I went to the Mesa temple easter pageant and it was incredible!! One of our friends was feeling really downhearted and discouraged about his inability to choose the right thing all the time. He wanted to follow God but sometimes he would give in to peer pressure. Then, we sent him a talk by ELDER HOLLAND and it changed everything! He has so much confidence, even in front of his friends who don't love God. Knowledge of repentance and the atonement will change lives! Also my comp crashed her bike and lost her phone sooooo rip Until next time, Hermana Ebbert

Zone Conference

Image
We had zone conference this week! We found out that in the next 6 weeks we're having two different members of the 12 apostles visit our mission! At zone conference we learned that nothing is impossible for the lord. When we set goals, we can set them higher than own our abilities might realistically allow.  One night this week we were going to go to the Easter pageant at the Mesa temple, but no one ended up being able to go. As a result, we had three hours of unscheduled time. Which is WEIRD for missionaries. We ended up praying A LOT and we had 4 fire lessons with people we hadn't met or had contact with in a while. It was incredible.  I'm currently serving with my companion as an ESL Lead, which basically means that we help everyone in the mission who teaches English as a Second Language (ESL). It's pretty fun. We also had 26 lessons this week which is the most I've ever had. WOOOOOOOOOOO Until next time, Hermana Ebbert

New Car

Image
We are now driving a brand new 2022 Nissan Rogue! Pretty hype. The brakes are really nice. Our last car was one of the oldest in the mission so they switched it out. Super nice for us! This week we committed someone to baptism over the phone. God knows what He's doing! I've never felt so unified with the spirit or with a companion as I have this transfer.  Also I have officially been a missionary for 6 months! I've grown so much, learned so many things about myself and others, and Christ.  God always has a plan, and His plan is the one that leads to the most happiness. Go watch general conference from this last weekend and seek revelation! Until next time, Hermana Ebbert
