Faith Brings Miracles!!

Image
This week is the first week I have been companions with my best friend in the mission. There is so much trust and faith and love in the companionship. I've NEVER taught or worked with such unity and power as I have in the last few days.  My comp is studying boldness and I'm studying charity for the transfer, and the two work very well together. We've been making several daily goals and getting every single one every day. Our district is on FIRE and the zone is so cool.  We're splitting the ward with a pair of elders and one of them just got to the mission (greenie) and he is CRAZY. The amount of greenie fire this kid has is off the charts. Literally insane.  In completing our goals we had to use a LOT of faith and it is crazy. Miracles really do happen for those who have the faith to make them happen.  Also a latina said that if you closed your eyes and listened to me speak Spanish you would think I was a Mexican and so basically my life goal is complete Pictured: me...

I'm moving to Tempe! I'll be with my BEST FRIEND Hermana Gasperoni!! She was my MTC comp but we'll be comps in the mission field now. I'm so unbelievably excited. I've loved my time in Phoenix so so much but I feel like it's in a good place now. We finally found some new people to teach and things a ramping up.  This week we celebrated my comps birthday and had some really good tortas. I also held a baby sheep when we went over to a members farm to help out.  We finally stopped at the Sonoran hot dog stand (Mi Sonora Querida) and it was FIRE. I had a chile dog and it was very good.  Spiritual thought: in Kung Fu Panda, Po and Shen have an interesting exchange, where Shen asserts that scars don't heal. Truein a physical sense, I guess, but this week I realized that part of Christ's gift to us is that EVERY part of us can be healed. Any emotional or spiritual scar left by life's experiences can be completely healed by Him.  Also dinosaurs.  Until next ...

Rollercoaster

Image
This will be a short one but this week was a rollercoaster. Our area is still struggling but thank goodness for good friends and a fire ward. We can always count on those member dinners to lift our spirits.  Interviews with president was this week and he's awesome.  Had Chilequiles and they were SO GOOD Until next time, Hermana Ebbert

Exorcism? Nahhh

Heyo! This week was AWESOME. We had a ton of visits with the members of our ward and they are fantastic. We've been working with about 10 less active individuals and families for several months and so we visited a bunch of them. And then 7 WHOLE LESS FAMILIES showed up at church! These people hadn't gone in months, some in years, and so many people came. It was awesome to see.  One of the members has been having crazy intense nightmares. There was definitely some sort of evil spirit invading her dreams. When she started talking about it the spirit in the house changed and we could all tell she wasn't lying. Being a very faithful woman, she has been reading scriptures and praying her little heart out but the dreams still persisted, so we got some priesthood bearers over to her house to dedicate/bless it and then give her a blessing. The house felt a lot better when we left.  The area is finally picking up steam. For the first time in about a month, someone we're teaching...
