There And Back Again

That's right. The time has come.  I have officially been a full-time missionary and representative of Jesus Christ for 18 months! I have loved and grown and found so much faith and joy.  Not sure what else to say, but I am grateful for this chance God gave me to express my love for Him in this way for 18 months. I know He's put some good things ahead of me too, and I'm excited for what the future has in store. His plan hasn't failed me yet! Christ lives!  Hermana Ebbert

Ostrich Festival? Yeah It's A Thing

Image
This week was excelente! We went to the Mesa Temple with our friend Paulino and he got baptized for his grandpa. If you don't know what that means email me haha. There's a massive ostrich festival happening in Chandler right now and it's so random but I'm here for it.  Our ward put on a Venezuelan dance and we made about 200 arepas and empanadas. So now I'm an expert. Ask me to make some for you when I'm home and I will deliver. It POURED rain this week for multiple days. Monsoon season is way too early but it's much preferable to the summer heat that's slowly creeping in . . . Until next time, Hermana Ebbert

"Have You Tried Studying Humilty?"

This week Carlos got baptized! Woohoooo!! He was super ready and very excited.  We saw a lot of awesome miracles this week. One of our friends told us he wanted to come to church but that he wouldn't if his friends were visiting him, and if someone at home was drinking (didn't want to leave them alone). We showed up at his house Sunday morning to see . . . and his friends were visiting him AND drinking.  He told us that he shouldn't come but that he would anyways haha. So he followed us in his little van to church! I realized this week that there's a difference between knowledge and conversion. You can know a lot of things and not apply it to yourself.  Also my brother is in Brazil now as a missionary!! Until next time, Hermana Ebbert
